Harmonious, Comfort, and Savory!
A humble dish elevated by harmony, where each ingredients simply participates together in a pot. You don’t need an extensive ingredient list or complicated techniques to create something truly enjoyable. Just three ingredients (tender potatoes, nutty perilla seed oil, and rich beef bone broth) united with purpose, delivering warmth, nourishment, and satisfaction in every spoonful.
Potatoes, which contain abundant vitamins, potassium, and dietary fiber, offer various health benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, blood pressure regulation, constipation prevention, skin health, and stomach protection. Additionally, the skin of potatoes is rich in antioxidants like chlorogenic acid, so it is best to eat them with the skin on. They can also be helpful for dieting and maintaining muscle.
8 Health Benefits of Potato Porridge:
-
- Promotes stomach health: The starch in potatoes suppresses excessive secretion of stomach acid, which is effective in alleviating stomach diseases such as gastritis and gastric ulcers.
- Improved gut health: Potatoes are rich in dietary fiber and pectin, which promote bowel movements and help prevent constipation. Furthermore, the resistant starch in potatoes provides food for beneficial gut bacteria, benefiting gut health.
- Increases satiety: The dietary fiber in potatoes increases satiety, helping control food intake and is effective for weight management.
- Blood Pressure Control and Sodium Excretion: Potatoes are rich in potassium, which helps excrete sodium from the body and has a positive effect on blood pressure regulation. Potatoes contain more potassium than bananas.
- Antioxidant action: Antioxidants such as vitamin C and polyphenols contained in potatoes protect cells from active oxygen, helping to relieve inflammation, prevent aging, and prevent vascular disease.
- Boosts immunity: The vitamin C in potatoes helps produce collagen and plays an important role in strengthening immune function.
- Promotes skin health: The vitamin C in potatoes contributes to skin elasticity and wrinkle improvement, and helps maintain healthy skin by promoting collagen production.
- Brain Health and Metabolism: Contains choline, which is essential for brain, nerve, and muscle health, and vitamin B6 helps to promote metabolism.
How to consume potatoes to increase their nutritional value:
-
- Eat with the skin: Potato skins are rich in dietary fiber and nutrients, so you can consume more nutrients by washing them thoroughly and steaming or baking them with the skin on.
- Eat cold: Cooling potatoes after cooking increases the amount of resistant starch, making them more effective at controlling blood sugar levels.
- Eat with other nutrients: Eating with protein-rich foods (e.g., eggs, chicken breast) or other vegetables can help balance nutrition and slow blood sugar spikes.
