When you’re going through treatment for an illness, it’s really important to stick to your scheduled sessions. But if you’re losing weight and your biometrics aren’t where they should be, it can be tough. Your body might not be handling the treatment well, and you might not feel like eating. It’s a challenging cycle, but it’s crucial to eat whatever you can to help replenish your body. When you need a little pickup, this delicious, inviting and comforting creamy chicken soup is just what you need.

A creamy chicken noodle soup is packed with hydration, protein, and a variety of vitamins and minerals. The veggies and warm, soothing broth provide comforting benefits, especially when you’re on the mend.

8 Health Benefits of Creamy Chicken Soup:

  1. Provides easy-to-digest nutrients. When a sickness causes a poor appetite, chicken noodle soup is a gentle way to consume protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. This provides energy and strength for your body to fight off infection.
  2. Aids hydration and electrolytes. A warm, broth-based soup is an excellent source of fluids and electrolytes, such as sodium and potassium. This is especially important for preventing dehydration when you are sick with a fever or cold.
  3. Clears congestion. The hot steam from a warm bowl of soup can help open up nasal passages and thin mucus, making it easier to breathe when dealing with a cold or flu.
  4. Provides easy-to-digest nutrients. When a sickness causes a poor appetite, chicken noodle soup is a gentle way to consume protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. This provides energy and strength for your body to fight off infection.
